New in Verbum 6: Treasury of Sacred Art

As Catholics, we celebrate and enjoy the physical senses. We approach God through the Sacraments, we deepen our prayer with sacramentals, and we gather to worship in beautiful sacred spaces. Our faith is supported by what we see and experience in mass, with “architecture, sculpture, paintings, icons, and stained glass lend[ing] an ambience that speaks of the mystery of God” (US Catholic Catechism for Adults 171). Sacred art, then, forms a vital aspect of our tradition—and it is newly accessible in Verbum 6!

The newly-catalogued Treasury of Sacred Art contains over 800 comprehensively tagged paintings and illustrations. Let Verbum accompany your faith journey and draw you closer to God. Watch the video below to see it in action!

The Treasury of Sacred Art is only available in Verbum 6 Foundation and above. Don’t miss out on all this art—upgrade today!

  • Please please please logos offer this as a separate purchase. I just upgraded to logos 6 recently and 2/3rds of the resources I have are hidden, because I was forced to buy stuff I do not want, to get the stuff I do. Packages should be for price cuts on bulk buys, not as the only way to get stuff. I really want this, but will not buy yet another package. I am not even Catholic, but great art is transcendent throughout Christianity. PLEASE offer this separately!!!

    • We intend to offer it separately at some point in the future, but the libraries are both opportunities to get bulk pricing, and a way to improve your software with new features and data. We consider this one of those improvements.

      Thank you for your interest!

  • This is a great new resource! I look forward to seeing it further developed in the future. There is so much potential for growth when considering the wealth of the treasury of sacred art from throughout the centuries. I think it would also be a great place to incorporate virtual tours of some of the great cathedrals and basilicas via the art they contain. Imagine going through the Sistine Chapel or St. Peter’s through something like a Google Maps street view where you can then click on any work of art to see information about the artist, what the painting depicts — all tagged and cross-referenced with the Verbum library.

And of course, it raises in my mind the desire to see a Treasury of Sacred *Music* added to the Verbum library some day. 🙂 There is lots of potential there, too.

    Keep up the good work!

  • My Verbum does not work the way the video shows. When I click an icon of a particular picture shown in the Passage Guide, a separate window opens in “Visual Copy.” This does not match what the video shows. Is there any way I can avoid having Visual Copy open by default?

    • Joe,

Could you please provide more information? Are you on a Mac or a PC? What verse are you looking at? What image are you clicking? It may be as simple as updating your software (we sent more images to Visual copy in earlier revisions of the software), but I am having trouble recreating this. If you’d like to send screenshots, you can email me directly at I hope we can get this sorted out for you!

  • Will this resource be available for separate purchase (I just upgraded using the Feature Crossgrade)?

    • Thanks for your interest! We currently don’t have plans to release this as a standalone product, but we are considering the possibility for the future. We’d also like to curate additional artist collections to build upon the Treasury as time goes on. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, you can get a fairly steep discount on the new Foundation library (since you’d just be upgrading). Give our sales reps a call to make sure you’re getting the best possible price: 877-542-7664.

    • No….I did the same and they told me that when them make it available separately,,, in the near future you will be able to purchase. I upgraded like you as I had the Capstone+ and didn’t want to spend over $600 for many items I didn’t want just to remain a Capstone Veer 6 owner. This was one of the items not available in the Featured Crossgrade update. Its a shame that many things are like this now.
