have you thought of adding Dom Prosper Gueranger’s immense, 15 volume Liturgical Year? It is devotional rather than analytic but it is easily the most exhaustive look at the Catholic liturgical year, its reasons, its prayers and its rituals.
now if I could just get my superior to buy the Capstone for me … (wink)
