I can attest to the truth about Padre Pio. On September 22 2008, I had the privilege of seeing Padre Pio’s incorruptible body after 40 years. He appears as if he had just laid down to go to sleep. His fingernails have a bluish tint but there are no other visible signs of corruption. The stigmata which he carried for 50 years is no longer visible. At San Giovanni Rotondo, I went to the basement to watch a video with 2 parts. The first was recorded around September 23, 1968, which was the burial of Padre Pio. There were 3 or 4 carabinirie with their machine guns, there was the welder who sealed Padre Pio into a lined casket and the clergy looking on to make sure everything was done properly. The 2nd portion of the video was from March 2008, when the Church exhumed the body of Padre Pio to see if he was incorruptable.
