Hello! My name is Carlie, and I am a Verbum Library Specialist here at Faithlife!
Connecting with customers like you is one of my favorite parts of my job! Through our discussions, I get a little glimpse into your lives and I am constantly inspired by the ways you utilize Verbum to serve God and His holy Church. Today I will share with you a little of my own background, and why I am passionate about the work that I do.
I grew up in the PNW and I am the eldest of a large Catholic family. My college years were spent at Thomas Aquinas College, a small Catholic college located in Santa Paula, CA. It was here that my knowledge of the faith grew in leaps and bounds as I frequented the sacraments, read scripture, and studied the works of many of the Church fathers. Among my favorites were St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Anselm.
After graduating, I worked for a Catholic school before transitioning to ministry at a local parish in the Seattle area. There I directed faith formation programs for children, teens, and young adults for almost seven years. This role instilled a deep sense of mission to be a part of providing better opportunities for catechesis in our Church.
When I was introduced to the opportunity to work for Faithlife as a Verbum Library Specialist in the sales department, I was excited to be able continue to contribute to this mission in a different role. Since then I’ve been blessed to be able to connect with pastors, deacons, religious, seminarians, and lay individuals to help them choose the tools to best equip them to study and to share the faith. It makes my day to speak with you and serve you in any way that I can!
